0280140032 NEW Auxiliary Air Valve Fit Mercedes 450

The auxiliary air valve increases idle speed when the engine is cold by allowing more air into the engine. It prevents the engine from stalling before it reaches its operating temperature, especially when the oil is thicker and combustion is less efficient. As the engine warms up, a thermostatic element in the valve closes, restoring the idle to normal RPNs.
