The cold-start valve provides additional fuel to overcome fuel condensation and the extra friction present during engine start-up in cold conditions. Dependent on and operating in series with the thermo-time switch, the valve creates an atomized swirl mixture which is injected directly into the intake manifold plenum. Designed and manufactured by Bosch, it ensures high reliability and durability.
