0280140037 REMAN Auxiliary Air Slide Valve Fits Mercedes

The Auxiliary Air Slide Valve (AAV), is a thermostatic-controlled component on older Mercedes models that provides extra air to the engine during cold starts, ensuring a stable idle until the engine warms up, then it closes to allow the engine to run on normal idle, preventing stalling and high RPMs. It works by using a wax-filled bulb connected to engine coolant; as the coolant heats, the wax expands, moving a rod to close the valve, managing idle speed effectively.
