It has been quite a while since the sensor was last manufactured, making it challenging to come across one in new condition.
COMPONENT FUNCTION.
The pressure sensor provides the ECU with an intake manifold vacuum-dependent electrical signal to indicate load; this signal heavily influences fuel metering. The analog electrical signal in the sensor varies as the intake manifold vacuum changes the compression of the two connected pressure capsules (aneroids). The aneroids expand and contract as a function of the balance between the manifold vacuum and atmospheric pressure.
