BOSCH 0280140032 REMANUFACTURED Auxiliary Air Valve for Mercedes-Benz

The auxiliary air valve increases idle speed when the engine is cold by allowing more air into the engine. It helps prevent stalling before the engine reaches operating temperature, especially when the oil is thicker and combustion is less efficient. As the engine warms up, a thermostatic element in the valve closes, restoring the idle to normal RPMs.
